TEEN & TWEEN SESSION INFO

Thank you so much for considering Stacey Heritage Photography as your TEEN & TWEEN portrait photography!  You will leave your Teen & Tween session feeling beautiful inside and out! When you message me for an appointment, we will schedule a date and location. 

I will send a questionnaire to get to know your tween/teen better.  We will discuss session style, clothing, favorite colors, props and favorite poses. You will complete the online Client Questionnaire so that I can customize your session. I will answer any questions you have.  My goal is to better understand how I will create a successful experience for you from start to finish.

Although I strive for creative poses, and perfect images, my style for shooting is relaxed and fun. My goal during the shoot is to capture you in an enjoyable, fresh and timeless way.

The session is 45 minutes.  We will not have time for outfit change, layers and convertible outfits would be best if you would like different looks.  The cost of the session is $190. The session fee includes the consultation, sitting fee, hand editing, retouching of images and digital files. There will be at least 10 edited images delivered.  There will be a $50 deposit to hold you session.  

What should I wear? We want your photos to reflect YOU and since each person is different.  If you need help, I am happy to put together ideas. We do suggest avoiding too busy patterns as they can be distracting (however bold patterns can look great!) We are always here to give suggestions, and we also want to see what you have picked out so we ask for you to text us your outfits prior to your session so we can also get a good feel for your style and plan ahead for your shoot!

Should I get my hair & makeup done? We want you to not only look but also feel your best which is why suggest having your hair & makeup done. It is not required to have professional hair and make up if you are comfortable with doing it yourself. If you need suggestions we are here to help. With tweens and teens, the amount and style of makeup will of course depend on the goals of your shoot.   For most tween sessions, the best rule of thumb is to go easy with the makeup and apply just enough to highlight their look.

How long do I have to wait to see my pics? 1-2 weeks

Will you tell me how to pose during my shoot? Absolutely! We will give you lots of ideas and directions throughout your session to help you feel at ease. Sometimes the best photos are the candid ones because that is when you are at your most relaxed. We will coach you along and make you feel comfortable and confident. This is your time to shine!

Who should I bring with me to my shoot? Feel free to bring mom, dad or a friend as long as you’re comfortable in front of them… they can be very helpful with comfort of your session.  

What if there is bad weather on the day of my shoot? Don’t worry, we will leave 1-3 days open during the week for reschedules. We will notify you asap if we do have to reschedule, however we usually only reschedule if there is either a high chance of rain, OR if it’s going to be too cold to be comfortable. If it’s overcast don’t worry your pictures will still look amazing!

What happens if we need to reschedule or cancel our session? No one wants to be photographed if they are feeling lousy or the weather isn’t cooperating. Should someone in your family get sick or the weather isn’t being kind to us, the session can absolutely be rescheduled. We will work together to find the next available date for both of us.

What’s not included in the session fee? Prints are not included in your session fee. I offer affordable packages for quality prints.  

How long is a typical session? With your session fee, you get about 45 minutes with me at any location within a 30 mile radius of Hillsborough, New Jersey. The session usually ends up being 45 minutes, but block out 1 hours just in case. Locations outside the 30 mile radius will require a travel fee. (please inquire on pricing).  We always shoot until we get all the great shots we need.
